Plant look-a-likes to watch for during your hike

It’s that time of year again when fall is making its presence known via cold morning

chills and changing scenery. Summer shall be missed as we admit to ourselves that

it’s over... and turn our attention to Fall’s showy colours (Yes fall, it’s okay for you to

take the spotlight).


Before we get into the grind of the fall semester, let us not forget to enjoy what

nature has to offer and maybe even develop a passion for good ol’ fall. If you’re

planning to take a hike this fall, here’s some good news: plants that get a bad rap

can be a lot easier to spot! Especially since they’ve bloomed and aren’t just a dense

thicket of leaves that all look alike.

As we all take unfamiliar paths this fall, in one way or another, we have all known the meaning of change. If we find any consolation in it, there are some things that never change. As I sit in the grass, almost ready to accept summer, I realize that for me it is a passion for nature. Whatever it is for you, so be it.
